Paul G and I led the annual CFBW Bird Group's Autumn Migration Tour around the farm, with a quick jaunt into the woods. Patch birders were most excited by the
Sand Martins over Broadfield. Of the three, I only saw the one. Other highlights included a
Garden Warbler, a surprisingly scarce autumn migrant on the patch, a
Wheatear, four
Meadow Pipits and a trickle of
Swallows. The
Tawny Owl hooted again in Lunch Wood. I saw a
Spotted Flycatcher and the adult male
Peregrine prior the the walk starting.
