Beautiful St. Martin's made for a delightful excursion, and paid off within the first hour with a fly-over
Red-throated Pipit while I was hanging back from the others to answer the call of nature. We searched for an hour or two in the hope that it had come down but had no such luck. Three

Oystercatchers and three
Greenshanks were among the other highlights during our visit.

On St. Mary's, a
redpoll flew up from beside our digs and Porthcressa held the juvenile
Bar-tailed Godwit and a
Wheatear.
