After spending much of my free time over the last few days booby twitching, I was dying to get out locally. I only managed to pop out for an hour or so late morning, though, and the westerlies seemingly stopped migration dead. The only passerine migrant noted was a
Whitethroat. The beach had 28
Oystercatchers and 23
Little Egrets.
A
Kestrel joined two
Common Gulls and a mix of other gulls following the plough. Three
Mediterranean Gulls were noted, as were singles of
Green and
Great Spotted Woodpecker, and two
Jackdaws.
