Sompting, West Worthing and Brooklands Park

Two Stock Doves which flew from the roadside by Lyons Farm Retail Park struck me as a little unusual. Swift numbers at home rose to a party of 15.

At Brooklands Park late in the day, the Mute Swan family was still going strong, as were Mallard broods of 10 and one noted previously, and the five Coot young I've been keeping an eye on (it's good to see the beleagured small chick is still alive). Also noted were a Reed Warbler, a Cetti's Warbler, a Grey Heron and a Green Woodpecker.
