Portland Bill

A dash to Portland Bill was successful in getting views of the/a Yelkouan/Menorcan-type shearwater among rafting Balearic and Manx Shearwaters. I'm not sure how comfortable I'd ever be with this bird being a tick due to the Menorcan 'problem' but it was educational, as they like to say, to see a Yelk-type among the two confusion species. A small flock of Common Scoters flew by and there were small numbers of Guillemots, Gannets and Razorbills offshore.

Balearic Shearwaters
