Canons Farm, 2nd January 2017

Tonight saw another post-work owl search. I was joined by Paul G to scan the meadows but it wasn't looking good until one of the Barn Owls appeared for a few seconds. It didn't come out to hunt within the next 20 minutes though. Their behaviour has become rather more aloof during my last two visits. Still, Barn Owl is now safely on the 2017 patch list and I hope to see more of them soon. There were around 60 Redwings feeding around Infront George, where the friendly juvenile Buzzard looked on. Fieldfare numbers seem to have dropped, there only being four this evening.
